Berry to Bomaderry - Princes Highway Upgrade
Completion Year:
Berry to Bomaderry
Service Category:
Detailed Earthworks
Project Description:

As part of the ongoing upgrade of the Princes Highway, the Roads and Maritime Services have awarded the contract to Downer Seymour Whyte Joint Venture for the section of works between Berry and Bomaderry NSW at a value of $450 million.

Once completed, these works will provide a four-lane divided highway (two lanes in each direction) with median separation for approximately 10.6 kilometres of the Princes Highway upgrade program.

Abi Civil have been subcontracted by Downer Seymour Whyte Joint Venture to carry out the excavation and laying of 16 kilometres of storm water drainage with varying diameter pipes ranging in sizes up to 1650mm diameter with associated pit installation.

Contracts of this nature rely a great deal on teamwork and communication between the Head Contractor and their Sub Contractors in achieving goals for both parties. It is our pleasure to be working with the Downer Seymour Whyte Joint Venture in the execution of these works. Under the management of our Engineering Manager Mr Ronan Giblin and his selected team, we are well on track in achieving completion within program and on budget.
